So the other day we were enjoying the great weather in my wife's 1960, I was driving and all of the sudden I noticed a clicking sound, similar to an auto resetting circuit breaker but after a quick check the electrical system was fine. It was then that we both noticed the odometer was no longer advancing, it had reached 12,999.9 miles and almost advanced to 13,000.0 but had not quite advanced all the way. I tried taking it to an empty parking lot and driving in reverse in a large circle and the odometer did count back down to 12,999.7 and the clicking noise was no longer present, then I drove forward again at speed on the road but it stopped advancing and the clicking sound returned at the same spot, at least that proved the speedo cable and odometer still works, except for the point at which the odometer wheels are sitting. Anything short of removing the speedo assembly that I can try to get it to advance the odometer wheels just one more click?

Have you tried resetting the tripometer to see if that frees it up?

No trip meter on a 1960 speedometer/odometer, at least not that I'm aware of or can find?
