I am planning to replace the shielded wires on my 66 . I have read here that there are problems with the replacement sets sold by the vendors . Does anyone know which ones are good ?
Regards Bill

Used a set from LI on my '65. It was several years ago and there has not been a ton of miles, just time. Car always is easy to start especially after a distributer rebuild, new TI harness and amplifier.
I used 8 mm black Taylor wires inside my braiding and re-used the GM boots at the plugs. This was a universal kit where the wires had to be trimmed and ends installed. The 8 mm wires are really a little thick. From memory, someone I believe said they used a black 7 mm Pertronix wire kit and they looked close enough to originals that it would take looking for them to notice. Feeding the wire through the braiding is a bit of a Chinese finger puzzle exercise.
