My brother just bought a survivor car no hit, original paint, 63 convertible with 2 tops, PS, PB, PW, Auto, Factory air, white with tan leather interior. Looking at the options we are trying to figure how many they made. The a/c alone makes it one in just a few but with all the other options it can't be many. Any way to find out?
The Nolad Adams book will break it down with the engine trans and AC. But that as fair as you can go. Beside the break down of each of the options. Sounds like a great car though. Would like to see pictures. I haven't seen to many real 63 AC cars. I guess all the real one year only AC parts are there

Every pc of this car is there except the original radiator it went bad in the 70's. None of the a/c parts where ever touched even the water shout off valve is the original, I have only seen a few of them ever. A great find for a guy who not long ago said he was going to sell off his collection of cars!!

Type in something like "Options 1963 Corvette" or "1963 Corvette production statistics" and you can spend many happy hours sorting through all the data it will lead you to.
I saw the car for sale, looked pretty legit to me, but I am no 63 expert. out of the 278, the Noland Adams book estimates only 50-52 were convertibles.

That is the car, Me and my brother are collectors and have bought a lot of cars over the past 50 years, this was the most up front honest guy we have met in our hobby in many years. It was refreshing to talk to him about the car and about engine #'s the way he did. The description of the car was perfect no lure you in and then make excuses for the car. We where very impressed. My faith in our hobby has been renewed!
If you read the e-bay ad carefully, you will NOTE TWO VINs listed, 12115 in the specs section and 21115 in the narrative. No picture of Trim Tag or VIN tag. If its 12115, it may be a little early for A/C. It should also be noted that the 20(?) year old '63 Survey DOES LIST
21115 as a convertible, no color given, but with A/C, PS, PB & PW. The indication is a 250 HP engine with PG.

There was a picture of the trim tag and it was all correct, no picture of vin but seeing is believing, and there was a misprint in the ad it is an Aug. 63 car and it is home now.
I love the way the eBay ad is written. Could have tried to paint it in a much different light but was refreshingly upfront.
With the white, saddle leather, PS, PB, auto, PW, and A/C convertible, I could see it being ordered for some very high-maintenance Texas Doctor's wife.
