How do I remove the ^%#$% Spring clips?
Ok... I'm about ready to install the door panels - and I decide to check the interior door lock lever to make sure it will lock and unlock the door.
Well, it will LOCK the door, but it won't unlock it... (mild panic set in here)
I pulled the key and tried the outside door lock, and it unlocked the mechanism.
so I pulled off the metal cover for the umpteenth time - and it appears that the hole is enlarged at the top of the rod - or the rod is worn, and needs to be built up. I can push the lever on the lock part up and down, and it works fine. So, I straighten out the rod.... thinking it would provide a little more push upward... no luck.
So, I'm going to remove the rod, but the Jesus clip won't release. Ive been all over it with my dental pick, but there must be a trick to release the bugger....
Inside one I'm trying to remove - so I can build up the rod
Outside clip showing the other side of the spring clip - now that I look at the picture I wonder if I have to push the ends back through the hole?

Squeeze the two ends together and push through the hole.

duh... without my I-Phone, My I-sight didn't even see the hole.....
I'll let you know how that goes...
Ok - got it off - had to make a new rod - about 3/8" longer. Fixed the Door un-lock
problem.
By the way, as hard as it was to get the clip off, it didn't just jump back on there either.

Happens to me all the time. My phone can get closer to what I need to see, than I can also enlarge the pic so I can see what's going on.

Hi Neighbor
This is the first time I've found something that way... getting older.
Love the Wheels - are they 17" ?
