keep it red or go back to white

I would go white because that is a good looking color plus you could go for Top Flight, which would be a satisfying reward for the work you put in.

My vote.....go back to white if you are going to do a quality paint job including the jams, etc. Original is a big factor. And, I like the white on my '65! Looks classy and crisp.....and original.

If your not going back white than resale red is a good color choice. Since the trim tag wont match anyway I would drop in saddle interior on that red paint job.

I think there will always be an eager buyer for an old Corvette no matter what the color and what the trim tag says.
I was specifically looking for a whte car when I was looking to buy a car and red was at the bottom of my list. I was hoping to find a white car with a red, blue, or tan interior. I was excited when I found a white car with a TEAL interior. Never considered teal because I'd never seen one. I don't think either a white body or a teal interior are at the top of most folks' lists but I like it. And I assume there will be someone else who likes it too if I ever have to sell.
I'd go with the color you like. If you have to sell, you will find someone who wants it regardless of it's color. If you end up losing a little money, don't sweat it. Life is short.

"Resale Red" is the best choice for any Sting Ray in more or less average condition. Potential buyers respond to it a heck of a lot more than they do to white, which for some reason doesn't look that great on a C2. I once bought an originally white 67 and repainted it Marlboro Maroon, a kind of merlot color, and had no shortage of buyers a few years later when I sold it. Personally I'd go with white in your case only if you planned to restore the car to judging standards. My 2 pennies.

Red paint usually cost more per gallon. Believe there is more pigment in the Red

Life is too short and too full of questions to worry about the resale value of an automobile. Having been repainted once, it's no longer original and never will be again. Paint it whatever color pleases you and enjoy the experience.

I think white is one of the best colors on any car, It's all personal opinion. My car was originally Riverside Red, and at some point was painted a true candy apple red, & it is too nice a shape to repaint, but if I were to repaint, it would be back to the original color, and i can't stand red. At the point it needs a repaint, I will paint it, & sell it, then buy one in a color I like more. All personal opinion.

Two years old or not I'll still reply. Just like there is a seat for every butt not everyone is a red, black, blue, green person. The guy that bought my '62 said he had two criteria. Had to be a white car, auto trans. Number three but less significant was he wanted a red interior, but liked my white/black so much the red wasn't important.
