Default On the way

I left home for Carlisle today. 8/20,First stop, New London , NH. Next , 8/21 , Chester , NY. , then 8/22, Sharon Springs, NY, and finally, 8/24 Carlisle.

If you live along my route, let me know, we can meet for photos as I head to Carlisle.

Hi Dennis...,Paul, see you soon. I made it to New London, great ride, cruise control working great at 75 plus mph. Tomorrow, I head to Chester, NY near Cornwall on the Hudson.

Do I get points off for road grit, Don?

Cape Elizabeth sent one of their finest to pick up a donated TV for their classroom.

Jack

It looks like we will have great weather. I'll be leaving Virginia Beach Thursday morning and should arrive around 2 pm. I'll start in the C2 area and look forward to seeing everybody. I am driving my Z06 this year and will be going to the IMSA race at VIR on Sunday. It's going to be a great week.

Default Life on the road

Made it to Chester NY from New London. Average mpg 17-19 on state highways. Around town I get 11 with my M-20 - 3:36 . Rt 7 - Rt 209 Rt 11...50-70 mph with no traffic or big trucks.

Nice weather tomorrow, rain tonight. I have a plastic cover on it.

I head north again to visit college buddies, then off to Carlisle on Wednesday. 500 miles done, 800 to go.

That weather is getting ready to clear and I believe it will be very nice for the whole time there.

I was hoping the '66 would be done for its anniversary year...but not quite roadworthy yet! Getting there though. I will stop by the Registry Saturday. I was there with "Dados 66" 15 years ago when the car was Nassau Blue. Will try to dig up my old 63-67 Registry shirt for recognition purposes

Here's how it looks right now...a few months from being ready:

Almost ready to fire up!

You Mean Mike M? .... Don't think he'll be making it this year. I think he's got some work backed up around the Homestead. But it looks like Vetteheads will have a big turn out.

Allot of guys responded saying they were coming. We'll have the swimming pool set up and the beer flowing.. Plus lots of rusty and Clean Corvette parts on the tables.

I got all this Corvette 50th Anniversary stuff I bought ....GOD knows why when I was there. Also Have some Day one opening NCM stuff I picked up on day one....Hat's and "T" shirts form the 1st Corvette Caravan from the Grand opening.

I also have a one of a Kind Framed Day 1 Opening Day Color Poster real Rare....!! And some C-5 R Remote Control Race cars. This stuff is coming out my ears...it was all over my house. I have to get this joint clean.

I can't take it any more I tell yah.....

Leaving tomorrow morning, helping set up the NCRS Gallery.

If anyone is in need of correct wheel weights, I'll have plenty available, "D" row in front of the food stand!

For the original poster 61corv. You are in for a BIG surprise my friend, the first time I ever went there in the late '80's I couldn't believe it! It was like Woodstock for Corvettes! lol I went there a lot in the 90's, but the price of gas and turnpike fees made me quit. But I did meet Zora there one year, the highlight of my going there. And also looking at a '64 reddish orange coupe with side flairs that was always for sale there and just out of my reach. I often wonder where it is today? Hey guys remember us who can't go by posting some videos!
