I decided to get the Shipping Data Report for my 1965 Corvette Coupe. I discovered the GM official date was 1/21/1965
The official dealer was Dealer code 180, zone 0
The name and location for the dealer was listed as GM Design Group MI
Any ideas why it went there?

That was "Styling" at the GM Tech Center - car was ordered for GM Company Service, and later sold at a discount to an employee. Most Company Cars were delivered directly to the ordering unit's offices and dealer-prepped in their Garage rather than delivered through a dealer.

This is my first C2 Corvette and trusted my good friend Greg Wyatt at Vintage Corvettes in Summerville, Ga. to locate a C2 Corvette to purchase. It took about a month to find just the right C2. It came out of a collection in RI. I am very pleased with my purchase. I highly recommend Greg for anybody thinking about purchasing a C2 Corvette. He has been in the 1953-1967 Corvette since the 1980's. Take a look at his web page www.vintagecorvettes.com

There is a very similar car for sale at Proteam, a COPO car delivered to a Chevy bigwig. Option list is almost identical except that car has factory sidepipes along with full documentation.
I can't say enough good things about Greg Wyatt at Vintage Corvettes. He walked me through what he looks at prior to a purchase. I was able to get in contact with the guy who Greg purchased the car and he was able to put me in contact with the guy who restored the car. I have spoken to both on numerous occasions and discovered the car took 3 years and 3,000 hours. He provide me with photos of the restoration from beginning to end.
