Does anyone have a recent confirmed source for B28 Vac cans?
I need one ASAP.
Ducati,
Just out of curiosity, what engine are you needing the B28 for? What is the idle RPM vacuum reading on that engine?? I only ask because the B28 is a very aggressive can...typically, too aggresive.
this is a link Jerry Bramlett sent to me about a month or so ago. It seems to still be offered and the one I purchased worked as expected. It was stamped B28.
A correct-spec low vacuum canister can be bought on eBay for $15 - $50. Make sure it is stamped "B28" before paying for it. For example, here's a cheap one that might be right... but I can't see the B28 stamping in any photo: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Distributor-...9XBvu1&vxp=mtr.
If you have a vacuum checker (brake bleeder), take it with you and check the can out. I first ordered one through O'Reilly and it didn't start to advance until about 10 inches of vacuum------------left it there. The one from Autozone did start moving at 5-6 inches of vacuum.
It works great with my L71 which now idles at 950 rpm with a nice lope, but shuts off without dieseling. The stock can would idle down to 750 if things were just right and shut off. If idle was any higher, it would diesel. Runs cool, but the new DeWitt radiator has something to do with that also.
