Default Bumper Issue

I pulled the bumpers off to get them re-chromed and found that, on the driver's side rear bumper, the leading caged nut was broken off with the stub of a broken bolt rusted to it. The combination is too large to remove from the caged bracket so it just rattles around in there. I can't see a way to fix this issue. Anyone run into this and have a magic fix to suggest?

You'll have to to cut the bracket that the caged nut is 'supposed' to be welded too...get a new nut and put in cage and thread a new bolt into nut and weld nut...it will be tricky but its possible...

DON'T USE A TORCH to cut the bracket...use an air cutting wheel/grinder...
