61 corvette driving around in the neighborhood
My children tell me I am corvette stalker. I caught up with this guy who was driving a 61. Afterwards, I found out he was seeing a friend close to my house.
I guess it was his dad's corvette. He used to ride in the middle seat with his sister. He took it over about 10 years ago. NOM. He said he thinks it was white. I told him the usual spots where he can look for the markings. A hardtop only still has a 283 though not correct. He said he remembers when the engine blew. The throttle got stuck while his dad was taking him on a ride as a kid. It was repainted at one time. It had MT valve covers. The hood in the center had a place where I could tell the hood got hot during a car show. Pipes went out straight out the back below the body. Interior looked good. I guess the radio did not work. I only talked to him for about 10-15 minutes.

Always great to see another early Corvette on the road.
Last Friday at a local car cruise there was a 58 dual quad Corvette in Panama yellow/white coves I had never seen before. I'm not a fan of yellow but this car was off the chart.
Also a friends 59 Fuelie.
There was also a 57 dual quad Corvette in Cascade green/ white coves but didn't get a picture of it

"Stalking" is not a problem or crime in this world, Jim. I "stalked" my 62 for about four years before the guy who owned it finally sold it to me! You might want to keep stalking...

Good to "run down" fellow owners. Looks like carb has a dropped base air cleaner with a domed top, he could put a taller element in there with a flat top and it would breathe a lot better.
These cars could use a lot more filter area than the stock 1.5 inch tall element.
