Default 1957 corvette tail light socket.

I am assembling my 1957 Corvette. I have a question regarding the aftermarket tail lights. The housings have what appears to be a socket for a bulb, but the bulb will not lock in. there is no isolation to ground and no pigtail to connect to harness. I am assuming there must be a socket with a pigtail that will lock into the housing, and hold the bulb. If someone could set me straight on how this assembly goes together it will be greatly appreciated. Also if parts are required, who should I get them from.
Thanks,
Pat

Default socket

I haven't seen one of those in a long time but check with a trailer supply company. Sometimes the sockets on trailer equipment is "old school" and you might find something that will work.

Your tail light housings look normal.
After you insert the pigtail on the rear harness with the 2 contacts on them( insert from back of bulb housing and turn to hold in place) you should be able to insert the bulb (note position of high and low side pins) push and turn it and the spring loaded 2 contacts will hold it in place.
Does that answer your question?
