I actually have two different ones. The first, a third mounted brake light with three red LEDs mounted under the Corvette emblem on the trunk hooked to the brake light wires.
The second is a 14 count LED light bar mounted above the license plate, that works as a pulsating brake light, regular tail light and backup light.
I found the muliti function light bar at Autozone some years ago but have never seen anymore since for around $30. It did need some modifications to fit.
You can't tell too much from the video with flashers on. http://s35.photobucket.com/user/62f7...ml?sort=3&o=66
If you don't mind cutting the body, putting it centered in the back on the rear duck tail (right where the reverse lights go on the 1967) would look good. You could get the red LED light bar (or even use one from a donor car) and have a body shop cut a slot, mount, and then flush mount a clear lens with the body.
I did a similar thing on my 1967 Chevelle by mounting the LEDs from a late 1990's Chevy Blazer in the chrome trim above the rear window.
I'm considering mounting a third brake light somewhere somehow on my 1962. Anybody who has done this care to share their experience?
Are you wanting to do this for looks or safety? If you just want your lights to be seen better for safety reasons IMO, LED's are the ticket. I installed a set years ago and, what a HUGE difference in brightness.
