Default Another annoying casting/code number question

I recently purchased a number of cars and parts. In the mix are several SBC engines (read long blocks). One is a 3970010 block stamped V0212TJY with 3927186 heads. The stamped block would maybe indicate a 73-4 C-10 pickup but the heads seem to be 70-72 big valve heads. Would this combo be factory possible or just a blend of block and non-factory heads?

Also, one of the other long blocks is a 3720991 block stamped 0272797F57 with 3725306 heads. The block would be a 55-56 265 but the heads should be 56-57...so I'd believe that its a 56 EXCEPT for the F57 suffix. Please help me better understand what I have. Thanks!

The "F" code was also used in 1957, so I think F57 would be a 1957 2bbl that came with a powerglide in a passenger car or 1500 truck.

Looks like your ID on the TJY is correct.
