Wow, he will surely be missed by everyone. What a wealth of knowledge!
When I wrote the valve seal article he gave me a compliment, I felt honored to have him acknowledge it.
"Excellent write-up and photos!"
Even gave me a thumbs up!

Very sad and terrible news to hear for sure. My thoughts and prayers are with John and his family during this very difficult time.
What a fantastic gentlemen. Although we never have met, I have learned a tremendous amount over the years from him. I made certain to save any of the Corvette Enthusiast magazines that had an article that he authored.
Again, very tough news.

I haven't been in the forum much since the death of my beautiful wife 2 1/2 years ago. I am really saddened by the news of John's poor health. He has helped me with my '63 many times over the years. You and your family are in my prayers John.

Tough, tough news, especially this time of the year for his family. Hoping for a miracle, praying for better health but mostly for peace for the man.

Very disappointed to hear this, I was hoping the next news was he would be going home. So glad I had a chance to personally meet him and share some Corvette and flying stories. Great memories. Thoughts and prayers for John and his family. Dan

I am so sad to hear this news. But what was posted that he has been through for the last few weeks is a terrible mess that I would not want anyone to experience, ever. I'm so sorry and will pray with everyone else.

Very distressingly sad news indeed.
Even more than his seemingly boundless knowledge was his endless graciousness in helping uncounted numbers of ordinary guys like me.
He cannot be replaced, and will be missed.
Prayers sent to him and his family for peace at this painful time.

Terrible news.
Like he did with countless others, John helped me out many times on this and the NCRS forum...whether sending me a correct cigarette lighter insert for my '67, or describing the correct way to paint the stripes on my driveshaft.
I've often wondered what I'd do when he was no longer around to ask advice of.
Sending prayers your way, John.
