C2 sun visor upgrade

I would like to modify the sun visors on my '64 so they will rotate at the left hinge point 90 deg. to shade the drivers door window. Have been searching the Net for a solution with no success. Really don't want to spend a day scouring a bone yard. Has anyone ever tried this mod ? Driving south in the morning is getting a little annoying. Thanks, DL.

Never heard of anyone having this issue or attempting to fix it in my 43 years in the hobby. I think this like trying to reinvent the wheel.

I was happy when i ordered new hardware from one of the forum vendors and the visors just stayed up.

Well thank you, 66jack. Finally a genuine constructive reply. I might be able to use the MG rods with my visors....a big help in sunny Fla.
