Default 1962 Restomod Purchase Questions

Hya All!

This is my second post here, and I'm looking for information. My experience with other cars has taught me to ask on a major forum so here I am. I was born in 62 and wanted to get a vehicle made that year. Problem is that there weren't too many good looking cars made in 62 with, IMHO, the C1 vette as a notable exception.

So I have been sniffing around and came up with a restomod listed on VetteHound among other places. It's the 12th ad down on the C1 for sale section. 29K for a LT1 383 stroker on a C4 frame. Broker is Hi-Line Auto Sales and Transport.

Does anyone recognize the car?

Anyone recognize the builder?

Anyone know anything about Hi-Line?

I'm 3000 miles away from them ( they are in Montana) so it's not a casual trip to check things out in person at this stage.

the price (29K) alone for a 62 restomod should raise warning flags...

Default If you are looking for a 1962 Corvette

Take a look at www.vintagecorvettes.com then give Greg Wyatt a call and if doesn't have one he will be able to locate you one. Best thing I ever did was buying one from Greg. Tell him Chip told you to call.

That one word is enough to steer clear, even if the price wasn't a huge red flag....well done restomods go in the $100K+ range...

29900 for this.....? Give me a break, what a bunch of BS. I think they forgot the first number in that price, it's 1.

Absolutely agree! That looks like a $100K+ car all day long. Run Forrest, run.
