Default Horn Problem

Working on a 66 roadster. Horn starts blowing as I am driving down the road without me touching anything. Removed the horn button from inside the steering column and it still blows. What could be the problem? Relay???

Thanks for any help,
Steve B

You have a 'dead' short somewhere...

Have checked anything yet?

The black wire from the horn contact, going thru the turn signal switch, bulkhead connector to the relay is the culprit has a short to ground somewhere.
The horn contact button only serves to complete the path to ground for the relay and toot the horns.

vette2002 gave you the starting point...check that black wire...also check the 'brass' plunger that could be hanging up...
