Default What is it?

Someone gave me an aluminum water pump GM part # 3975928

What is it? It's aluminum and NOS. Is it worth anything?

I found 4 of them for BB application on e-bay with production dates in the late '80's from $300 to $35. Dennis

the 3975928 aluminum big block water pump was a GM 'service only' part and wasn't used on any production cars at least through the early 70's.

I had a GM aluminum water pump on my small block many years ago. The guy I bought it from said it was a military application. And he should know; he dealt a lot in military surplus. And, he was a car guy, too.
