64 interior request
What I am wondering about pertains to 64 interiors with the trim codes of either 491 or 899 with primary ECL of B,M or N. This would be blue carpet, silver seats and door panels and blue dash. If your car has one of these codes could you tell me what color your jack storage area is painted? is your car an A O Smith or St Louis build ? Thanks in advance
Ric
Not presuming to answer your question because I don't have 491 or 899.
But I do have 490BA (should actually be BD) in my Jan 64 coupe. This is all Dk Blue interior. I believe the jack well color matches the rugs; in your case and mine, Dk Blue.
But, wait to hear from people with cars that meet your criteria before moving forward.

i have this code in vinyl. I am pretty sure the well is black and my car is generally unrestored BUT I'll take some photos tomorrow. You are asking about the interior well/floor?

Yes I was questioning the area behind the seats where the jack is stored. What is your interior code? I am well aware that very few silver /blue interiors were ordered back in 64,so I will be surprised if we get more than 2 or 3 responses from owners of cars with this actual combination.
Thanks Ric

Thanks Benton.....The raised area in your photo(drive shaft hump) seams to be missing paint or is that silver by any chance. The reason I ask is that looking through Noland Adams book there is no mention of what color this jack area was painted Dobbins book indicates it was painted carpet color and now 65hihp states ncrs says carpet color(thanks for that 65). I also have a 64 with code 899n and my jack well is painted silver no sign of any other color plus I have owned this car 35 years never touched this area. It is an AO Smith build. Maybe we will hear from more owners of silver /blue cars. Your interior looks great!
