One of the 1st things they tell you is to measure and locate the post , then to level them. I did that, however I didn't anchor it to the floor. Didn't see the need and wanted to keep it movable. Seems very stable as is.

I didn't bolt mine down... the legs are plumb and the runways level front to back and side to side.

because I have the mechanical lock release I can tell by the look and feel of the handle whether the locks have been released; the pneumatic system sounds convenient, but apparently it can be dangerous too...

another thing I did was to leave the covers under the runway off that 'hide' the cables/cylinder; I can tell at a glance if there is any slack in any of the cables if a lock has not been released.

Not to jack this thread but I put up a 4 post 115v with wheels to move it, 3 drip trays, jacking tray and ramps for less than $2,000 in 2010.

I had an issue with 1 locking post not lining up. After a lot of measuring I found that the adjust bolt was welded about 1/2" off compared to the other 3.

My locking is manual... as you raise the lift they lock as you go as you can see the release arm move. To lower it you have to raise the lift and then hold the release arm until you reach the bottom.

looks like the same lift I have. mine's a Tuxedo, but I see a lot of identical ones with different brand names on them.

it is going to depend on what the 2 cars are; but I would say 10 foot. I forget what Frank's ceiling height is, but he managed to get the 63 and the 61 'stacked'.

my lift is an extra tall/extra wide/extra long model. I have 12 feet to the bottom of the open trusses and the jeep windshield and rollbar has to extend up above the lower chord of the truss when the truck is underneath. the corvette fits ok...
