Default Hood emblem
I've noticed that some 66 Corvettes have a Corvette String Ray emblem on the hood and others do not. Is there a particular reason for this design.

The emblems were factory installed on 66 hoods, but both the hood and the emblem were removable as 66jack noted.

Are you sure you are comparing 66 models ... and not a 65 to a 66? Bill
