What do you mean by "pass"; items are graded in two areas, originality and condition, a repro part will "pass" but take a "hit" on originality....there are more nuances to that as well...that's the basics..?
If you think a judge won't spot a repro, you're wrong...I took a hit on mine (but have the original wheel in storage).

It ain't cheap. You seem to be a novice with the judging deal but here is a major tip to keep your sanity... You need to develop a "cost-per-point" philosophy. PURELY EXAMPLES but say you spend $650 to get an original, restored wheel when it might have only cost you a few originality points out of 4500 total; that $650 might have bought you some other original parts that impose MUCH greater point 'hits' than that...
