Default 66 fuel pump question

Trying to figure out the correct fuel pump for my 66 327/300hp. Engine with a April 66 build date. I have what I think is the original fuel pump 133V40018. Can anyone tell me if this is correct? Some have said a late build 66 used the 40043 for 67. Is the 40018 correct?
Thanks,

You need a "4657" pump -- very common, with inlet and outlet ports approx. 90* apart and the numbers 4657 stamped on the edge of one mounting flange. Airtex, AC, perhaps others. The GM part number is 6415616; the ACD #40018. OEM pumps had AC cast on the boss on top and on the bottom cover & some other peculiarities. Later versions & Airtex do not, but are fully functional. Here's a couple pics of one in my stash o' spares.

Thank you Vark. I have been told that the late version fuel pump was different than the 4657. I have a late April 66. That is why I posted this question in the forum.kept getting different answers. I appreciate your advice on this. So the 4657 is correct for my car?

In 1967 the 300hp fuel pump changed to a crimp style and the part # is 40433, I am not sure if your April 66 car could have used it or when the change over happened.

Have you checked the NCRS judging guide, there may be some info there.
