i have a good friend who asked me to review a beautiful 67 on eBay. I'm not an expert on tank stickers and can only compare it to mine which I know is original.
The one one on eBay has the radio listed twice. Once under radio and next under comfort and con. Mine only has it next to the radio line
Can someone help me with this? Is it correct? Does the tank sticker look original?
It means that one of those cars didn't leave the factory with that vin. There is no picture of the vin tag which would have been nice.
If your friend is considering the car, I'd have it and all documentation thoroughly inspected. The car has one of the highest prices I've seen for a small block 67.

I also know some of the players in this deal. Tom Ames is first class. The car looks nice, but $$$$$$$$$$$$.
I have a 27,000 mile 1967 327/350 HP convertible with factory air, and a no hit body with a lot of original docs, and with the original drivetrain. I would probably sell it for half this price..........if I ever decided to sell. But my car is not Triple Black
If your friend is really interested, SBR and Tom A. can probably supply a lot of background if you called and asked them.
Email me if I can help further. You know the address. Happy New Year.
Agree it's high. My guess is it's about $35k too high. These 350hp AC cars seem to be getting over $100k if fully documented. I had someone offer me $105k for mine and it was a serious offer.

Larry, what color is your car? It sounds very nice.

Marlboro Maroon with Saddle Vinyl Interior. Currently has a tan top to match the interior...........although the car was born/sold with a black standard top per the tank sheet. The car has been repainted once in its life, back in the late 1970's, as I have the pictures of the car being stripped and painted. That is one reason I can say "no ht body". I think they used an extra bit of red color in the paint + clear coat lacquer, as the paint really "pops". Just about everyone who sees it says it is the prettiest MM they have seen on a Corvette.
The car was shown at Bloomington the following year and received a Gold Award, with (the late) Chip Miller being on of the judges. The car was also personally owned by the late Bob Gold (Bloomington Gold Auctions) prior to it being sold to Richard D. and then refurbished and shown.
The car was special ordered and sold at Curtis Chevrolet in Washington DC, but I lack (only) the history from this time until Bob Gold owned it in the 1970's.
The only pics I have are 35 MM pics, otherwise I would send you a few. But it definitely is a nice and mostly original car. Plan to take it out for a run tomorrow or Wednesday after the rain clears.
Beautiful car!! I remember when you first posted this info and pics some years back.
She is a keeper..........

Thanks Larry. Every time I think about selling it - only so I can buy something else - I go out and look at it and say "bad idea". My 3 car garage is full and I have another car stored in my daughters garage. It's a great problem to have!!
When I was searching for my 67, Marlboro Maroon was the other color I was considering. I especially like it with the saddle interior. Would LOVE to see a picture!
As for the ebay car, I do think the price is in line given the fact that it has real docs, drivetrain, no hit and has been recently restored and judged. That and of course the fact that a black car carries a large premium.

I hope you are right. While mine isn't black, mine has even more options. If someone offered me that amount, it would be REAL hard not to let it go!!
