Default Deciphering numbers

I need some help deciphering some numbers on my '66 427/425. I would like to be able to do it my self. Is there a book that explains and lists the serial numbers?

My car serial number is 194676S122390
I took the valve covers off and the drivers side had the follow codes on it:
3904391
A 237
GM3T

Passenger side:
3873858
B 176
GM2T

Any help is appreciated.

391 head is late 67-427 production Jan. 23 1967
858 head 1966 head production date Feb 17 1966
I'm not sure but I think the GM2T and 3T would be 2nd and 3rd shift. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

Your car is a late '66. According to the C2 Registry it was built on or about May 23, 1966.

There are several books that list most of the numbers for your car. The Corvette Black Book is perhaps the best known, but my book of choice is my NCRS 1953-1972 Pocket Spec Guide that I bought in about 1990.

If you're checking numbers because you're curious about your car's originality, NCRS is a club to join (if you haven't already). If you are just checking the heads, or you're preparing to sell your car, most of the answers you would be looking for can be found for free here or elsewhere on line.
