Default 56 Soft top

Ok been working on this car for awhile. I put the top up today for the 1st time and the frame pulled away from the windshield . Does anyone have a diagram that shows all the parts to the frame before I start taking it apart??

The assembly manual would have a diagram of the frame. The windshield post slides into a steel channel under the top piece of stainless but the entire frame will have to be removed from the car to take it apart. If you don't have the frame off of the car yet, be careful when you remove the the nuts from the windshield post ends if they're stuck. The pot metal is fragile and can break easily especially when you're putting it back on the car. Don't tighten them down too much. How long has the top been down? You're lucky it didn't break the windshield.
