I wouldnt think that would be considered early. By the end of December, it's already about 1/4 way through the model year.

Default Build date

Kerion:
Go to the C2 Registry, top left corner change to 1966 then show registry. You'll get an idea of earlier cars on there. If you want to see any build dates of those cars. Jot down the last 5 digits of their VIN then top left clock on Car Birthday, then change it to 1966 and fill in the last 5 digits of the car's vin.

There are two schools of thought on "early" and "late" cars.

1. Date car was built: An early car is August/Sept build and June/July is a late build car. Some folks use this example.

2. Date a car part was changed during the model year: In this example an early car is before the part was changed and a late car was after the part was changed. A car can be both early and late depending on how many parts were changed during the model year and when they were changed. Most folks use this example.

FWIW.

There might be a third category, that of the first dozen or so cars of the model year that someone (not me) might pay a premium for.

These cars are called "pilot line" cars.
