It seems like overkill to have access into the door through the arm rest.
Whatever you put inside the door would rattle around.
Except: it is a great spot to put a 6 pack of beer and some ice.

Any other thoughts??

No clue why - but is a great hiding place.... and the opening is not that large....

I kept my umbrella & registration and a few other things in my drivers door glove box in my 54. Sometime I would put my wallet in there also. Like Chris said good hiding place.

I keep all sorts of stuff in there, and really, it doesn't rattle around unless I hit the really big bumps. Holds suntan lotion, pens, hair brush (when I had hair...) and some parts that I don't put in the trunk.


Most people don't know it is storage unless you have one.

DMV registration/proof of insurance, water bottle, can of Sure-Start starting fluid spray, car show registrations, phone charger pack since I can't charge my phone on 6 volts, and my LC9s.

Chris your hands are so big that if you put something on the glove box (door panel) of your 54 Vette you would never be able to get your big hands in there to get what ever you dropped in there out. Heck you are so big you can not even get behind the wheel of your car. U need to let me drive it for you. You are truly my friend .
