Who owns different cars?
I am talking like cars that do not have a radio in them, that was an option or a 3 speed trans, the 4 spd was option heater delete credit. Things like that. What I call odd ball Corvettes but they are the ones that I like. I like things that are different on or in a car as long as it came that way not converted that way. So let us know what you have in your Corvette that is original to the car that is different then most other Corvettes.

he was 6ft. 2 inches and did not want the window crank hitting his knee, and wanted to slide the steering in and out.
I was lucky when I got the car from him 30 years ago he had the dealer keep ALL the paperwork which I got with the car
It has been my pride and joy of all the corvettes I have owned 66racer

Not a Corvette but I also have a 1966 base Coronet 2 door sedan with 426 2x4 Hemi 4 speed no radio heater delete. 3600 miles bought new to race. Had never been titled until I bought it.

Just having a 1954 Corvette is odd ball. I have people getting in arguments with each other over it while standing next to it at cruise nights with people claiming they never came from the factory with a six banger in them or a powerglide, or that the door handles were shaved, and that all of them were white in '54.

That's very interesting. A good friend of mine has a 66 L72 Corvette coupe, and also has a 66 Coronet 2-door post with 426 2x4 hemi, 4-speed, no radio no heater.

My 64 is extremely well optioned yet whoever ordered this car left a few creature comforts off.... it is base motor [ no extra hp], no posi, auto,ps,pb both tops, 2tone leather interior, base blackball tires, no power windows, factory air, no radio. Some dealer salesman probably ordered this as it was built in April of 64 first licence Oct 64 6months later.
Also on a different note, in 1966-67 I had a 66 Pontiac Acadian, [2 dr post] for our southern friends was a Chev 2 with Pontiac name tags, that came from the factory with a chev 327/350, muncie 4 speed, 12bolt post,no radio no other options other than a heater. Acording to the Pontiac experts there were only 8 L79 post cars built in 66.

They made 4 different models of Coronets in 1966 all available with the Hemi. The base (like mine) and the Deluxe were the 2 dr. sedans. The 440 and 500 models were 2r. hdts. Very few Hemis in the 2 dr sedans. My base model they built 34 total 23 autos and 11 4 speeds.

Well, using your criteria of features "Original to your car which are different from other Corvettes", I guess my 1962 could marginally qualify on a couple of counts . . . as a Fawn Beige car, it's one of only 1851 out of a total 14,531 Corvettes produced that year Further, as an original 2-top car with a Fawn Beige interior, it becomes one of even fewer . . . but the fact that it is one of the 299 non-positraction equipped 1962 Corvettes on top of that must make it pretty unusual.
Of course, the reality is that Corvettes could be (and were) equipped with so many different combinations of options and equipment that it would likely be more unusual to find two identically equipped cars than to find cars with differences. Mine is a 300 hp 4-speed, and there's certainly nothing unusual about that . . . and I've seen a few other Fawn Beige/Fawn Beige 2-top cars here and there, although not very often. I certainly don't claim my car as being unique, but it is different enough to be interesting - and the color is always a comment-getter at car shows.

My '61 is a 3-speed. No synchro 1st.. a throwback to when you had to actually "drive" a car. Not rebuilt and going strong @ 140K miles!

I have a '67 roadster with 427/390, sidepipes, and J56 brakes. The J56 brakes were checked off accidently by the dealer while trying to order power brakes. I have a letter from the dealer explaining why the car came with those expensive brakes.

Not meant to criticize ( my personal observation ) .... most Chrysler owners have a vocabulary of this model and that, how many transmissions, engines, production figures, intake manifolds, body styles, and color combinations. There must be a written test before being allowed to join the exclusive club. Interesting piece of history between 58 and 73. ( kudos to the fact finders ) Years before and after ( letter cars exception ) they sat unnoticed on dealers lots for years. Now that " Italy " has taken over reviving the performance era saving them from chapter 11 their future looks better. The glory days are over, clones are popular, and bankers own most of the expensive sought after originals. With most current production models manufactured in Canada and Mexico hopefully their production costs give them an advantage to regain their customer base. Their Viper sports car model did not elicit a following the company anticipated. Perhaps it lacked the famous " hemi " label that is a huge part of their history .
These thing are noted because they are available just as they would be by Corvette people if they were lucky enough to have the info.
No color combo info is available on old Mopars. Chrysler people are lucky enough to have the model and engine coded in the V.I.N. so that is a HUGH advantage over most other auto makes. The trans break down info comes directly from Chrysler records. Beginning in 1968 they began putting the V.I.N. on the engine and trans.

I think it was probably later than that. I think all of the big three would paint anything any color you wanted if you paid for it and would wait. Lots of companies had custom "company colored" cars.
