Finally took my 65 in to inspect my trans linkage/reverse lock out. The linkage and lock out have been need of repair for some time. The prognosis was the linkage was worn, sloppy; so I got new linkage kit from Full Throttle Corvette. The new kit definitely improved the action, but the lock out is still inoperative. Question; is there a lock out kit available or is a new shifter necessary? Or would this be a good excuse for a 5spd from Siver Sport?
the lock out rod is a very simple design. when you pull up on the "T" handle it pulls up a rod that has a pin that pulls out of the shiffter allowing it to go into reverse. either something inside your shiffter is broken or your out of adjustment on the linkage rod
[QUOTE=MikeM;1594564928]This thread shows how the lockout works. You can spend maybe a few bucks to fix it or you can spend hundreds and hundreds on your new transmission.
