Default 1965 corvette conv. top

What's the proper way to put up or store the convertible top. Attach to windshield first, then push posts into deck lid? Or, secure deck lid first then attach to windshield? Thx

First way. Attach to windshield then deck for putting it up.

If your storing it, don't forget to place a towel over the window before folding for stowage.

In the manual it says to put the front guide pins in and hook the latches, but don't close them. Then Push the rear deck pins down snug and then go back to the front latches and secure them. I do this and it seems to get the best overall seal all the way around...as good as that can be

I have the little pillow that many of the suppliers sell to place in the back window when lowering the top to keep the plastic from folding on itself. The previous owner had it with the car and I thought it was quirky but used it anyway...It's definitely a good item and saves the plastic.

I agree after 48 years of doing it that way. If you don't want to be wet, I third latch is possible ...but that is another post....
