So now I'm looking at Comp Extreme energy XR282HR.
Dur: 230/236 @ .050
Lift: .510/.520
LSA: 110* on 106* centerline
Looks like that should get me a DCR of 8.91:1
Same one I'm using, it won't sound like much at idle but it's a beast when you lean on it.
Well, I finally got back at it today. Buttoned everything up and took the first ride in over 2 years.
Timing is very mild. 32* all in @ 3000 rpm, B28 vacuum can.
I tried a bunch of hard and soft acceleration runs in 4th gear from 1500 to 3000 rpm.
So far, no detonation issues.
A bit choppy going around town in 4th gear, but much more livable than the old solid roller I had in there before.
One quick stab in 2nd gear from 2000 rpm lit up the tires, so I know there's more than enough torque on hand.
Now just waiting for a new AC drier to arrive so I can put the hood back on and take it for a longer ride.
