I had no problem getting my one owner, all original (except one repaint) big block insured for $110,000. The difference is in originality, documentation (which is no problem when it's a one owner car), and having a working power antenna (kidding... but it helps). I agree with the rest here who know that many of these cars are clones, fakes, whatever you want to call them... and of course, they ALL came with factory side exhaust and knock offs!
I think it is because of all of the reproduction parts you guys are using on your restorations!!! The practice was bound to caught up to you all eventually!

The real NCRS collector cars will always bring big money but overall Corvette prices are leveling off because of supply and demand. Everyone is trying to jump on the band wagon and cash in on fake representations, esp on SWC's and 67 big blocks.
Any thoughts on declining values of C-2 BB's? E-Bay seems to sell one out of 75 and they are continually relisting them!! I think there is some unrealistic pricing! Just my $.02
Exactly, must of those cars are nothing but made up junk. Prices for real cars are the highest they have ever been.
FYI, not all of the non-original cars are 'made up junk' !
The problem lies with the dishonest sellers trying to parade their cars as 'original' or over inflating the price even if they have given full disclosure.
I have a non-original motor BB C2 and it's not junk.

I can only hope so!!! That's where I'm headed (66-67 427)..

There is a lot of lip stick on pig cars out there.
From what I observe in both Corvette and Chevelle restored market for ever ten or so only one of those cars would be worth having. I have nothing against NOM cars but it seems worse once it's NOM. but there is a few born with engine cars out there that are rough when you get close
