Corvette drivers not needed!

Dennis
It was great meeting him after conversing with him for several years here and on the Garage Journal Forum. His '67 looks and sounds awesome! In spite of the heat he seems to be having a lot of fun on the tour.

Hopefully that helps. If it's not iPhone I have no idea but wanted to share what I did when my phone did that.

We are in Indy today at the Lucas Motorsports Park. Better driving today. Started with rain then gradual light overcast. That made it easier on everyone. Headed for food and a cold one! Later! Dennis

Send yourself an email with 5-10 pictures with iPhone . Then open email on computer, photos now on computer. Or just upload them to CF from iPhone and post

1. Started with meeting a great guy from Porto Rico who has this Grand Sport that is spot on accurate and sounds incrediable.
2. Cruising at speed when on the interstate, but mostly traveled the secondary roads for the sites and the waving people.
3. This is the roadside breakdown on Sky65's Vette at Vandalia, Ill. Guy stopped, asked if we needed tools or help. Pulled over anyway. He was local and had his own motorcycle/ATV/sml engine shop. He connected to and chased parts from local parts stores and secured parts from other sources. It took the whole day to trace the issue and get on the road at 8:30. Thanks Toby!
4. I'm at the Newton venue and had discovered in the morning that one of my header brackets had cracked. GM provides a rolling team of techs from the GM Proving grounds. They are called the GM MOtor Medics. They are very capable of repairing non catastropic mechanical issues. I removed the bracket, they welded it..DONE! NO charge to anyone for any work.
5. At one of the hotels loaded with cars was this very nice C-1 with a full Morrison chassis and late model drivetrain.
6. As we passed through many miles of cornfields, farm house lawns were loaded with well wishers. I passed this one, then turned around and returned to meet them. Great people and happy to see the cars passing by. They had their own collection. '34 Ford, '68 Charger, '55 Chevy, '58 Vette and in the large shop was a the '63 SWC w/FI. I'm really glad I stopped.
7. Each day as we arrived at the next venue the primary social interaction was at the HRPT stage. Next to it was the HRPT punch clock that I needed to punch in ecah day to validate I was "Long Hauler".
8. While driving along I spotted one of the HRPT staff busses on the roadside so I stopped to help. Simple issue with low coolent. Rolling in no time.
9. While at the Champaign Ill venue our CF member BB767 invited me to see his restored 1930's shop and cars. Thomas has two nice C-2's and the amazing facility to care for them.
10. Made my Bowling Green stop at the NCM for an undated tour since the sinkhole incident. It is really worthwhile for anyone to see this. The cars that can't be restored and almost unrecognizable.
I can tell each and everyone of you it was a unique experience and one I have some great detail memories of. It was physicall taxing due to the heat and no A/C, but I sucked it up and kept moving. Covered 3891 miles so far (not home yet) but home is the end point, so it will be over 4K miles, three quarts of oil, and many gallons of gas, but I averaged over 18mpg.
I'll post some other pics on a separate thread. I hope these pics come out rightside up. Thanks for bearing with me on this event.

DennisDon't beat me up too much, I know they showed up sideways and can't explain it.
