I have a 1957 283.block number 3731548 c11 7, 3740997 heads a287 and a297.intake 3731398,dis 1110981,7a1.flywheel 3729004,11-7-6.starter 7c5.it has no suffix on the front pad and I think it's out of a boat can anyone tell me any info on this motor.thanks Andrew.
Those are all '57 Corvette applicable parts, although you didn't give the starter #. And I think you transposed a couple of numbers on the distributor, as it should be a 1110891. Sounds like a 220 HP base motor, but as stated, the value is in the heads. Probably worth between $2000-$3500 (just the heads) depending on condition. Nice find!
