Temp Gauge c2 replace
Before I start the process of taking the gauge from the cluster I wanted
to ask if it can be done without removing the cluster. Thanks looks like a tight spot. 1964

- Remove the driver's seat so you can comfortably lie on your back while working behind the cluster.
- Replace the cluster mounting screws with long 1/4" bolts that will allow the cluster to slide aft while being supported by the long bolts.
There's a lot more to it, but those are good tips.

Just to save you some work are you SURE your temp gauge is bad ?? Often the senders are the culprit (much easier to replace)...if you have to replace the gauge here are the cluster R&R instructions..
While you're in there its time to check the weld at the top of the clutch pedal where it enters the pedal bracket...if the pedal has side-to-side movement at ALL (common problem) deal with it now..

Hint, undo tach cable at distributor, it will allow you to move cluster out. Speedo cable will stretch a few inches, that will make it easier to unscrew cables from cluster with room
