Default V74 Flasher Unit Install

The car was originally shipped to New York and was required to have the V74 flasher unit when new. I have had the unit over 20 years now. I would like to install it. The Assy manual shows how to do it and the hole in the emergency brake bracket is already there. My question is How hard is it to separate the two headlight wiring connectors on the steering column. I dont want to break them. What is the best way to separate them.

I hope you meant the turn single harnes from the steering column. In the middle of that half moon conector is a latch hook. Just gently pry up with a small screw driver to unhook it then gently work the conector back and forth to disconnect

No but you can take the seat out, that should give you more room.

By the way, is there already a hole for the flasher in the parking brake bracket and I am not referring to the hole for the oil pressure line.
