Default Best Header Coating

Guys,
What is the best header coating. I have Doug's headers that were Jet coated (twice). The Jet Coating looks like crap. I would like to remove then and do it one last time. Is there a coating that will look good and last?
Thanks,
Larry

Unfortunately, your headers look like crap because your application like most Corvettes is too hot for traditional polished ceramic coating. Regardless of who coats it, polished ceramic rarely holds up in that environment. You'll need to use a 2000F high temp ceramic for your application if you want it to last. Better yet if you have SS headers.

I think it was these guys who did my headers over 15 years ago and they still look like when I put them on.

Mine are Doug Thorley headers and they first stripped the chrome that had blued.

I hear swaintech is good never used them (have a super cool white coating now)
Have coated dougs, still look nice
they will dull some like any coating just dont let it get lean or retarded timing if they get too hot it will dull like crazy.

I highly recommend Nitroplate

I even have their coating on my aluminum manifold on my Nova.

Just this past weekend I noticed the cermanic coating on my new manifolds is starting to break down. I had them coated back in December and they looked great until 2 weeks ago. The local guy that did them says there is a break end period that I was not informed of. He has offered to redo them as they have a 3 year warranty, but I may go with Por 15.

OP, be careful and pay attention to any break end instructions.
