My first Corvette was a 1960. 1959's were red headed step children.

My second Corvette was a 1960. Bought it when I was 19 and still have it 44 years later. My first one was a 1964, the REAL red headed step child of Corvettes.

I bought it in 1974 and sold it in 1976. I have it listed on the C1 Registry trying to find it. It was VIN 00062.

How do we know that the Animal House car was a 1959 and not a 1960?

I prefer the '59 because a friend of mine in high school had one, a fuelie, and it was the first Corvette I ever rode in or drove. Still love the sensuous body lines of the '58-'60 models and that dash with the big speedometer.

Yes but I'm not a purest. Anyway that 60 is well on its way to becoming a big money restomod.
