Who in God's green earth wrote this article????
It is abundantly clear that they are not Airbox savvy, but simply just piggy backed from other articles on 57 Airbox cars (that also were written by NON-savvy Airbox people, who often write articles just to see their name in print).

Tom
all of the editor articles I have read on here seem to be a day late and a dollar short and have no clue as to what they are presenting; kinda like reading the Friday Funnies sometimes...

I swear the people that write the articles on here couldn't tell a Corvette from a Corvair unless they read the name on the car.

Unfortunately, it's their sandbox and they can play however they want.

Maybe one of you guys should submit your resume for curated content editor.

I wondered why GM made all steel body 1957 cars with FI had a cold air intake and not all corvettes. https://www.google.com/search?q=57+c...=1500241960063

Every time I see a BelAir FI I wonder the same thing.

Only the 283/283 engines got the cold air intake mounted on the radiator support and only the late ones. Early 283/283 engines and all 283/250 engines got a low mounted air intake beside the radiator.

Of the two real 283/283 1957 Chevrolet passenger cars that I have seen in my lifetime neither one had the scoop on the radiator support. They were mounted low like the 283/250.

the 57 FI we raced at the NASCAR beach race in feb of 57 had the notched hood cross brace and the core support mounted cold air intake. I would post a picture of the car at the beach but since how you post pictures has changed I can not get it to work
