63 4-spd shifter console
Well - I decided to send my older 'beat-up', spare center console and extensions off to be restored by 'that guy' in New Jersey...
This one was pitted, scratched and had some gouges in it and the ashtray didn't slide. I'd loan it out to pals who where having theirs restored and didn't want a hole in the interior while waiting.
Piece of art now.... I'm paranoid some of these gifted restorers will pack it in some day so this will go on the shelf for that 'some day'...

Frankie, that looks awesome, did they do the extensions as well? Ballpark figure, what did it run you all together?
I have two sets, my original, in horrible condition and one I picked up at Carlisle in better, but not like yours... condition! I'd really like to get it redone.

Yes, the console and extensions get done and the console "horseshoe" gets included if you don't have one. You have to remember this is a top notch job with the "bright dip" anodizing removed, all scratches, pitting or deformities straightened out, the piece is re-grooved and buffed as original and re-anodized.
Cost is in the $700 range which is about 1/2 of what the repros now cost and there is NO comparison in respect to fit and quality...
I never know what vendor info I can share anymore so you can PM me if you need it...

63 consoles are difficult to restore correctly. Yours looks great.
Interesting that this operation could cost around $700 but it really is a lot of work.
I bought this NOS console several years ago and paid $100.

I don't know what 'several years' means but you got a bargain for sure...

Between the rear glass stainless and a nice console I have the price of my twin coupes. Those in need of parts are " on the elevator " if they need correct pieces. I know my values are in the past. Just hard to believe some current asking prices. A project 63 coupe could cost twice a good driver when reasonably road ready.
Having NOS parts is great but shelving them for later might mean they will bring 10% value at the estate sale. They will probably be sold three times before reaching a candidate project by flippers knowing what to look for and current values. I have had buyers wanting parts that didn't own any Corvettes. No surprise when they know what application, year, condition, and average value. I guess we all want to ride the bus at senior rates.

Damn Frankie!
That looks incredible. Now you're going to cost me more money! LOL!
I'll have to take a look at mine and see what needs to be done. It's original, but that doesn't necessarily mean that it's pristine!

I was asked what the price was to get the job done and that's what I stated. Nobody has to pay it, nobody has to care about original items. Its a personal choice and depth of pockets...

Original items all the way!!
Many times, I've spent more restoring originals, rather than utilizing the reproduction overseas crap!
On my other project ('55 Nomad), same concept goes with that car as well.
One exception is that there's a young man out of Southern CA (now Arizona), who reproduces several Nomad parts. The parts are quality controlled directly by him (Mike at Madmooks), and all parts are made in the USA! They may be priced higher than most, but they are far superior in quality and well worth the extra expense.

If you own a 63 I'm not sure the search ever ends and you develop public and "top secret" resources for parts. I chased the translucent windshield washer plastic cover for months and the correct headlight switch with the fan-like wafer on the front...
Now just try to find the plastic heater box diverter if you don't have one - good luck with that !!
I even have a set of these - in the box; and I don't really know why:

Part of the fun!

Read the fine print - there are 5 available...so you too can own this bit of history on all four corners for approx $200...
Then all you need is curb finders - I bet some of the younger studs are scratching their heads...
