I'm sad to report that Chuck Gongloff's wife Pat, passed Jul 19th. Our prayers to Chuck and his family. Chuck and Pat would have been married 48 years this coming August. Pat was always around to help with scoring at the NCRS events. Chuck is a regular contributor to this forum.

if anyone has never meet Chuck and his wife Pat they were truly great people who where fun to be around. I had the pleasure to get to know them when they lived in MD and when my dad and I joined the Mason Dixon Chapter of the NCRS he guided me in to learn to judge. truly sad news

My prayers are for Pat, Chuck and the family. I have known Chuck and Pat since the seventies in the Bel Air Corvette Club and they are truly the best of the best.
I am so sad for you Chuck,
Your friend,

Chuck, I feel what you are going through, I lost my wife, and best friend, of 52 years about 3 years ago. She died very suddenly with no apparent medical issues.
My heartfelt condolences and prayers are with you and your family.
I have never met you but grew to respect you through the forum.

Thank you all for the kind thoughts and sentiments.
I'm stunned and heartbroken. We would have been married 48 years on August 9. Her 71st. birthday would have been July 26. We had been together for 52 years... since meeting in college in 1965.
Pat died quickly. She had never been sick a day in her life.
She was diagnosed with advanced ovarian cancer, and died about 5 days after her diagnosis.

I cannot imagine loosing my love of 50 years. As a man, I hope to pass before my children and my love / best friend.
Pat will watch over you until you join her. There is nothing more eternal than the love you all still have even though she is no longer by your side.
Use us if you need to talk. We understand the love between a man and woman is much more than the fascination of the cars we play with.
Our condolences to you and your family. Truly the greatest loss a man can endure.
