Would like to know if anyone has installed a Lokar throttle cable assy.
I installed Holley HP EFI, and the throttle is very sensitive, and I have dual return springs installed.
I am hoping the cable setup might be less sensitive to throttle pedal input. Meaning now with the stockish linkage, roughish roads tend's to at times make my foot move the pedal in rhythm with the bumpy, non smooth roads.
I personally don't think it's the car linkage that's the problem I have found the rotation diameter and resting position for holley throttle bodies to be waaaaaaaay to small and too far back which all leads to a very sensitive to start and hold a steady throttle. Adding springs to this set up only makes it worse. I considered a cable but in reality it needed more leverage and slower control. I achieved this by raising the throttle body mount as high as possible (even notched the air cleaner base) to get the diameter as big as possible. This made the touchy throttle disappear. And to get the throttle to transition smoothly from idle I lengthened the throttle pedal rod at the engine. This pulled the throttle back instead of down initially. I then left only enough spring to cleanly return to idle.
I don't know if that's the answer your looking for but I couldn't see how a cable would help without still addressing these issues.
