Steering box

What is the difference between a 1963 and a 1967 steering box?? Is there a difference between manual and power steering ?? What are the casting numbers on the 63 and 67? thanks

There is a difference in 63 in how the part numbers are shown and whether or not the "CHECK LUBE" annotation is on the box - I'd have to dig out my Judging Guide but I don't always trust that...

Mechanically/Functionally, there's ZERO difference between a '63 and a '67 steering box, and the steering box is unrelated to manual vs. power steering (the steering linkage that bolts to the gear's pitman shaft is different between manual and power, but the gear is the same.

Quite true, I ran a 64 box on my split window for several years until it could no longer be adjusted...
