Dose anyone know where all the ground straps go on a 58. At least under the dash
Only one is to the speedometer to the dash cluster mount.
The rest are the two on the motor mount, generator and exhaust manifolds that I can remember and the one on for the antenna. I added one more to the gas tank.
Also, accelerator lever has one. Wiper motor is another. Sorry left some out. I think there is another on the center console where the air controls are located.

so I take it that the speedo cable is a ground and the steering column would be also?
The steering column is grounded because it is connected to the frame. The steering column connects to the gauge cluster reinforcement/mount housing part via the steering mount bracket.

No not necessarily. Plastic cables out there. Plus probably not that conductive. Its more about the steering column is mounted to the frame. Just make sure there is enough metal contact through the chain or simply run another wire from the intake through the firewall to the gauge reinforcement. You can tell people its for your special NOS setup and or supercharger. Now, if you really want to scare someone put an in case of emergency switch on it. That will throw them off!
I ran another ground wire to the same location. Adding an extra ground will not hurt anything.

You can't have too many grounds, especially on a Corvette. You should add a ground from the gas gauge sender to the frame. I also added one from under the ground cable on the starter to the frame (because it's nearby and hidden). The radio gets a dedicated ground wire to the support from the right rear outboard valve cover screw.
there is also an AIM for your year car, Assembly Information Manual. Get that also. that has much more info on your specific year. I made an error in the above, the grounds are located in the AIM some where in the back.
