Default License Plate frames

Does anyone know of a person or company who makes custom License Plate Frames? I would like to have one made from the Chevrolet dealership that my car came from because I can not find an original one anywhere.

Are you looking to reproduce and original looking one? Or are you looking to just have a generic one made up with your dealerships name on it?

That's what I did, but I don't think the company is in business anymore.

Perhaps a possible solution would be to reproduce the frame with a 3D printer. Do you have a picture of the one you want?

Are the letters cast in or are they a decal?

Pretty sure they are silk screened on, I think. I ordered mine Sunday on the computer and they called me and e-mailed me today (Monday) and they shipped it to me today so I should have it by the end of the week.

I would be very surprised if what they produced will resemble in any way a real old dealer license plate frame. What was the name again of that LA area dealer frame you are seeking?

All of you Southern Cal guys, I am looking for a Circle Porsche in Long Beach frame for my 911.

I would like to get one reproduced if I can't find an original, and I do have pictures of the one I am looking for.

Thanks for any help for my P car!!

I just bought this off eBay. I knew the owner of the dealer's son, Tommy, who took over the dealership may years ago. Unfortunately, Tommy committed suicide after GM pulled his Chevrolet franchise years ago. Since I'm in the area and knew him I'll run it on my '67 in his memory.

Look for companies offering advertising specialties. I once did a short gig selling these items. That is where the dealers get them. You may have to order more than one! It's one of those things where the first one may cost $400 and the second and on $2.

They aren't perfect Don, but they are a nice touch when you have a lot of original dealer paperwork and stuff with the car, for display. I have a bunch of original Big 4 Chevrolet items but a license plate frame always eluded me. The original owner tells me he did not have one.

That one looks great, just like original almost (at least in photo). But you said that company was not in business. From what I could see of what the other company makes in the link provided, his frame will not look like that.
