Default Steering Column Squeak

I have a squeak in the steering column when I turn the wheel right or left. It is difficult to tell whether it is in the cabin or under the hood. Anyone else run into this and can give some hints as to where it might be.

Probably the upper or lower bearing but could be the steering wheel hub lightly kissing the column hub. It's not to difficult to spray a little penetrating oil up in the lower bearing area by loosening the clamp under hood. If that doesn't at least temporarily quiet it I would assume it's in the upper bearing/hub area.

The horn contact does that in my Camaro. Something else you can check.
