Door Jam Gloss
I am wondering where the low gloss finish starts in a door jam on original cars. Does the gloss on the exterior of the car extend into the jam a slight distance, or does the low gloss start as soon as you "turn the corner" into the jam. Also is the clip that is held in place by the two screws shown in the picture gloss to match the exterior or the duller finish to match the jam?
I realize the gloss in this jam (1965 coupe) is not correct for an original car, just using it to clarify my question.
Thank you - Hunter

It was just unbuffed lacquare. So the inside part should be dull

Only on exterior surfaces. I'm pretty sure they would not have opened the doors. Like creases and edges, I doubt they did more than a light pass by door and hood gaps for fear of burning the paint on an exposed edge.

Only buffed the out side area above the belt line. And if you ever saw the machines they used it was a miracle they got any of the car done at all
