If the mechanicals of the wheels haven't been compromised and you install the when to KH design, you don't need the pins, you don't need to remove the cap and you don't need a magic marker!

And you don't need to beat the h... out of the spinner if you're using a 5-6 pound hammer!

That is, unless you're trying to remove a wheel with a steelpin still in place.

I finally got this down after loosing a wheel in 1996 and 2009 after running them for 25 years . The long lugs were a Gods send any way I sold the corvette and have the confidence in case I have to run them again. No damage each time but the second time
was close when the spinner flew out in front of me and held up the front of the corvette
as I came to a slow stop.

You learn one thing. Your wheels are going to be pretty hard to steal, as long as the thief does not steal your manual.
