I have a 63 with a 64 parking light bracket. I see reference to parking brake light switch and warning light on the wiring diagram. I can locate the switch but where is the warning light(car never had one since I got it)? Picture?
On my 65 it is at the very top of the cluster next to the "bright lights" indicator. It blinks when you make contact to ground on the switch on e brake pull handle. I'm certain it is the same on the '64. That bulb is hard to get at from below when all is installed, but possible.
There's only one wire on that switch. It's usually tan. One side of the park bulb in the dash has 12v on it any time the ignition is on. On the other side of that bulb is the tan wire that goes to the park alarm switch. If you read that wire with the ignition on, and the bulb is good, you'll also read 12v there. One side of that parking brake switch is ground, so when you pull on the brake, the switch closes, effectively grounding the tan wire and allowing current to flow through the bulb. The bulb is a flashing bulb, like the one in the headlight warning indicator beside it on the dash.
If you find that tan wire on the park brake switch and ground it, with the ignition on, the light should come on and after a few seconds start to flash.

So, if the parking brake in set (tan wire connected to ground completing the circuit) and there is no voltage at the tan wire, the bulb is bad. Is that correct? What if.... there is voltage at the tan wire but the bulb does not illuminate?

There won't be any voltage on the tan wire when the brake is on (if the switch is working) because it is grounded and the bulb drops all the voltage. With the tan wire disconnected (or park brake off) you should read 12v between the tan wire and ground. If you short that tan wire to ground by physically touching it or pulling on the brake, the voltage will drop to zero and the bulb light. If you don't have 12v on the tan wire with it disconnected, either the bulb is bad, or you have no voltage going to the bulb. The park warning bulb and the headlight not open with lights on warning bulb are not like the other dash bulb in two ways. One, they have two wires and are not grounded at the dash like the inst lights, second they should flash after being on a few seconds.
The park warning bulb gets its voltage from the same source as the fuel and temp gauges (top fuse marked b/u/gauges) so if they work it's not a fuse.
Anytime the ignition is on 12v will be fed through the bulb to the park brake switch on the tan wire and the ground is made or removed by operating the brake handle.
